Our Board of Directors guides the Foundation in all of our administrative and development endeavors, supporting our vision to provide children with facial birth defects the care they need free of charge. Their dedication makes this work possible.

John Campbell

Treasurer

John Campbell, a lifelong New Yorker, brings over 45 years of financial expertise to the Little Baby Face Foundation. After studying economics and earning an MBA from Wharton, John built a successful career on Wall Street before pivoting to volunteer work. He has taught economics internationally, including in Ireland, China, and Palestine.

John became a non-directed kidney donor in 2019 and now advocates for living organ donation. Serving on Little Baby Face Foundation’s board as Treasurer for nearly three years, John is dedicated to advancing the organization’s mission and supporting children in need of life-changing care.

Dr. Yick Moon Lee

Director

Dr. Yick Moon Lee earned his Medical Degree from Mount Sinai Hospital and currently manages the medical team at Chinatown Global Pediatrics P.C. in Brooklyn.

As the Director of Asian Practice Development for Northwell Lenox Hill Hospital, Dr. Lee is a nationally renowned pediatrician. He is also the former Medical Director of Asian Outreach Services and Associate Director of the Pediatric Inpatient Unit at Maimonides Brooklyn Infant and Children’s Hospital. A board-certified pediatrician and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Dr. Lee has been recognized by Castle Connolly Medical, Ltd. as a Top Doctor in the New York Metro Area since 2015.

In addition to his practice, Dr. Lee serves on the CAIPA (Coalition of Asian American IPA) Board as well as FCMS (Federation of Chinese American and Chinese Canadian Medical Society) as Treasurer. A dedicated member of both the Medical Advisory Board and the Board of Directors, Dr. Lee has contributed countless hours of time and expertise to serving children through the Little Baby Face Foundation.

Natalie Ramu

Director

While much of Natalie’s professional background is in Business and Cyber Security Consulting, she now focuses her energy on delivering the highest client-centered service in her Real Estate business. Natalie holds a strong commitment to honesty and integrity in her work, understanding that real estate transactions are not just about properties, they are about people. Her core values prioritize the best interests of her clients above all else, ensuring their experience is marked by trust, transparency, and a genuine passion for helping them achieve their goals.

In addition to a vibrant professional background, Natalie has demonstrated a commitment to philanthropy and helping others throughout her life. After generously supporting the Little Baby Face Foundation for more than seven years, she joined the Board of Directors in 2023. Natalie brings the same energy, compassion, and empathy to Board and committee meetings as she does to her professional clients.

Alexa Rauch

Director

Alexa is a Coordinator within the CPS Product Leadership team at Apollo Global Management in New York City. In working closely with the Global Head of Product & the Product Leadership team at large, she drives initiatives forward to support bottom-line growth and success. Prior to joining Apollo, Alexa was a Coordinator on the Investor Relations team at AEA Investors LP for 8 years.

Originally a Florida native, Alexa graduated cum laude from Florida State University with a BS in Communication Studies. Outside of the office, she enjoys quality time with her boyfriend and family, getting back to her French roots and spending as much time in Paris as possible (self-proclaimed Francophile!), and exploring all things art, food & interior design.

Helen Robinson

Director

Helen Robinson has been a dedicated member of the Little Baby Face Foundation Board since its inception. She brings extensive experience from her career in public service and administration.

Since 1986, Helen has been a key supporter of President Bill Clinton’s initiatives, beginning with her work in Arkansas state government and continuing through his presidency and philanthropic endeavors. Before embarking on her public service career, Helen was a military spouse and worked for many years in the medical field. She then served on the White House staff in the Oval Office Operations and Personal Correspondence Department. As the Director of Administration at the Clinton Foundation, she has been instrumental in setting up and managing operations, especially during its early days in Harlem.

Helen’s passion for public service and making a positive impact aligns perfectly with LBFF’s mission to transform the lives of children with facial birth defects. Her administrative expertise, dedication, and exceptional ability to connect people and resources are invaluable to the LBFF Board of Directors.

Dr. Thomas Romo III

President, Founder & Medical Director

Dr. Thomas Romo III, MD, FACS, is a Double Board-Certified facial plastic surgeon with over thirty years of experience in reconstructive surgery. As the Director of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at both Lenox Hill Hospital and Manhattan Eye, Ear, and Throat Hospital (MEETH) in New York City, Dr. Romo has built a reputation as one of the top facial plastic surgeons in the world. He has published widely on various topics within the field of reconstructive surgery and frequently speaks at national and international conferences.

Early in his career, Dr. Romo attended annual mission trips to Russia, Central, and South America to perform life-changing facial reconstructive surgery on children lacking access to healthcare. While driven by the impact of this work, he grew frustrated by the limited services he could offer patients and the lack of opportunity for follow-up care. In response, Dr. Romo embarked on a mission to address these limitations and provide facial reconstructive surgery and complete, comprehensive care for children in need.

In 2003, Dr. Romo established the Little Baby Face Foundation to address these limitations and provide complete, comprehensive care to children in need.

Matthew Caiola

Vice President

Matt serves as CEO of 5W Public Relations, a leading communications firm in New York. Under Matt's leadership, 5WPR has been named one of Inc. Magazine's Best Workplaces, a Top 50 Global PR Agency by PRovoke Media, a top three NYC PR agency by O'Dwyer’s, and has been awarded multiple American Business Awards, including a Stevie Award for PR Agency of the Year. Matt has been honored by industry organizations including the American Business Association and PRDaily for his leadership and communications skills.

At 5WPR, Matt leads teams that are responsible for the reputation of some of the most sophisticated companies and visible public figures in the world, along with emerging brands and technologies that are making history. Under his leadership, the company has launched and built new brands and technologies, enabled legacy organizations to cement their leadership in changing times, managed complex crisis matters and reputational issues for leading organizations, and driven campaigns for B2B and B2C companies across the digital landscape.

Amid impressive professional growth, Matt has been a dedicated Board Member of LBFF since 2023 and currently serves as Vice President of the Board.

Donald Moriarty

Secretary

Don Moriarty began his career working in New York City for some of the world’s largest advertising agencies including Grey Advertising, Interpublic Group, Publicis, and Saatchi & Saatchi. His clients included Kraft/General Foods, Procter & Gamble, and the Miller Brewing Company (Miller Lite).

In 1994, Don opened his own advertising/event marketing agency with two partners in New York. Clients included Virgin Atlantic Airways, Johnnie Walker Scotch Whisky, JP Morgan/Chase, and Trump International Hotel and Tower among others.

In 2005, Don sold his stake in the business and turned his attention to working with charitable organizations. In 2007, he joined the Board of Directors at the Little Babyface Foundation. He has since served as its President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer.

Don resides in Bronxville, New York with his wife Carolyn. They have two daughters, Kathleen and Michelle.

Dr. George Ferzli

Liaison to the Medical Advisory Board

George Ferzli Jr. M.D., FACS is a double board certified Facial Plastic surgeon. Dr. Ferzli specializes in both surgical and non-surgical facial rejuvenation. He provides state-of-the-art cosmetic surgical care of the nose, face, neck, eyelids, and brows. Dr. Ferzli was selected as a Castle Connolly Top Doctor in Otolaryngology with expertise in Facial Plastic Surgery from 2021 through 2024. He is a diplomat of both the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology/ Head and Neck Surgery. Dr. Ferzli is a member of the Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS).

Dr. Ferzli earned his undergraduate and master's degrees at Georgetown University. He then obtained his Medical Degree (MD) and completed his residency in Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery at SUNY Downstate Health Science Center in Brooklyn, NY. He then continued his education and training in the highly coveted Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery fellowship at the prestigious Lenox Hill Hospital in the Upper East Side of NY.

As a long-standing member of the Foundation’s Medical Advisory Board, Dr. Ferzli now also serves as the liaison to the medical team on the Board of Directors.

AnaMaria Olivo

Director

AnaMaria Olivo has been a valued member of the Little Baby Face Foundation Board since 2021. With a heart for service and community, AnaMaria brings a unique perspective to the Board, drawn from her involvement in youth mentorship and her church community in Bronxville, where she serves as a youth leader for the high school group.

A passionate advocate for LBFF’s mission, AnaMaria is inspired by the transformative impact of the Foundation’s work, particularly in boosting the confidence and happiness of children and their families. Her favorite moments are the personal connections made with patients and their loved ones, which she describes as the most rewarding part of her involvement.

Outside of LBFF, AnaMaria enjoys her time as a dedicated mom to three beloved puppies.

Melanie Rupert, Esq.

Pro Bono Council

Melanie R. Rupert is a partner in the Life Sciences IP practice in the New York office of Paul Hastings. Ms. Rupert’s practice focuses on patent litigation matters, with an emphasis on the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and medical device industries. She has more than two decades of experience in the life sciences space, including significant expertise in leading Hatch-Waxman cases on behalf of innovative drug companies.

She has represented some of the world’s leading life sciences companies in high-stakes patent challenges to their blockbuster products, including antidepressants, antibiotics, antipsychotics, anti-epileptics, treatments for cancer, treatments for Alzheimer’s disease, treatments for high cholesterol, and treatments for insomnia. In addition, Ms. Rupert guides clients on strategic matters related to patent portfolio development and management, pre-suit analysis, post-grant review challenges, and ex-U.S. opposition proceedings. She also works closely with clients in due diligence analysis related to both company and product-based asset acquisitions.

Melanie has served on Little Baby Face Foundation’s Board of Directors since YEAR and has donated her time to assist the Foundation with legal matters as our pro bono council.

Medical Advisory Board

Under the direction and supervision of Dr. Thomas Romo, the Little Baby Face Foundation works with a team of top medical experts in pediatric facial deformities and paralysis. Our surgical team collectively holds over 50 years of expertise in children’s facial reconstructive surgery. Together, the team coordinates and oversees every child’s treatment.
