medical advisory board

Under the direction and supervision of Dr. Thomas Romo the Foundation works with a team of medical experts in the field of pediatric facial deformities and paralysis. These experts – Little Baby Face Foundation’s Medical Advisory Board—volunteer 100% of their time to evaluate and treat Little Baby Face Foundation children.

The team consults on each child and coordinates surgeries to minimize the invasiveness and number of surgeries for patients and their families. When possible, multiple procedures are completed in single surgeries to reduce the number of times a child has to be hospitalized. Currently, the team is working on establishing protocols for this innovative approach that can be shared with other physicians.

Note: LBFF is not responsible for healthcare issues of family members who accompany children.

“I have the best job in the world. I am the first person that parents speak with, so I get to offer them the hope that their child can be helped. There is a need to reach out to children with birth defects across the globe, and we work with families from as far away as Malaysia, and as close as New York City’s five boroughs.
