How Your Voice Can Make a Difference by Joan Baker

Jonathan Chavarria.

I spent time with Jonathon and Julia Chavarria… Jonathon is probably the most polite child I have ever met. We went on the Staten Island Ferry and out to lunch (McDonald’s-Jonathon’s choice), Trinity Church, and Ground Zero... (we) went for a rowboat ride in Central Park... Julia, Jonathon and I went to the Statue of Liberty. I spoke to the ticket agent who spoke to her boss, and we got free admission! Special passes to NOT wait in line and to be among the few people who went into the the Statue as high as anyone can go… We finished off the day by walking over to the South Street Seaport where we looked at the tall ships and talked about Pirates of the Carribean, Jonathon’s favorite movie.

I am glad that I picked your organization, because it is as much fun for me as it hopefully is for the families, and it is a most wonderful service that you provide.

How to Help

Volunteer Your Time

Individuals and families who volunteer their time provide a great service to our children AND help keep our expenses low.

Here are just a few of the ways that you can become involved:

Individual and family volunteers provide an invaluable service for our patients and their families by hosting an afternoon or day-long sight visit to some of NYC’s cultural and recreational offerings. The Museum of Modern Art, Coney Island, The Statue of Liberty, Museum of Natural History, and Central Park—these are just a few of the places our volunteers have shown to Little Baby Face Foundation families during their visits to NYC.
